  • 1 ½ cups of ground or crushed graham crackers
  • 5 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 tablespoon caster sugar

Ingredients for the filling:

  • 450 g of cream cheese
  • 500 g of plain Greek yogurt (2%)

  • 140 g of caster sugar

Method of preparation

Preheat the oven to 176 degrees Celsius.

Break the biscuits into pieces and grind them with an S-blade robot.

Put the tray in the oven and bake the crust for 8 minutes, then let it cool and wrap the walls on the outside with aluminum foil.

Put the trays in the oven and bake the pasca at 162 degrees Celsius for 45-55 minutes. Or until the center is almost ripe. It should be like a jelly in the middle, but stable.

Easter with cottage cheese & # 8211 traditional recipe

Until the day of the Ascension of the Lord, that is, 40 days after the Resurrection, he traditionally cooks the Passover. So, after the holidays I proposed a recipe for Easter without dough, now I thought of writing the recipe for Easter with cottage cheese made traditionally, ie with a cake dough and roll but also with a dough cross in the middle.

I mean, like our grandmothers used to do. That's why I wrote in the title that it's about Easter with cottage cheese, traditional because, more modern is to make with pandispan top, even without top, like cheesecake and & # 8230 why not, easter with chocolate instead of cheese.

It's more painstaking to do Easter cake cake, because it takes a while to knead the dough and leave it to rise, but the taste is special and with a little patience you can try the traditional version of Easter.

And how do you not knead the dough for just one Easter, today's recipe Easter with cottage cheese it's for two Easter. It seems to me much more practical than kneading for just one. And then, how good it is, it ends very quickly)

Start with cheese

Cheese is one of the basic ingredients of most cooking preparations. Unless you are vegan or allergic to milk (or lactose intolerance) you probably like cheese! The cheese can be a meal add just a wonderful bread and a glass of wine.

The easiest recipes that use cheese require melting the cheese, then combining it with other ingredients. To melt the cheese, use low heat. If the melting temperature of the cheese becomes too high, it can separate and even burn.

Protein or casein in cheese coagulates or clumps at high temperatures. That's why you always use low to medium heat when you melt the cheese. A mixture of cheese melts well. The best melting cheeses are three to six months old.

Always look for expiration dates on cheeses and follow them to the letter. This data does not necessarily mean that the cheese is not safe to eat, but its quality will be diminished. Store the cheeses in the refrigerator, tightly wrapped, so as not to absorb flavors from other foods. If your cheese grows moldy, you may be able to save it. Any soft cheese with mold should be discarded immediately. But hard cheeses, such as Parmesan or Cheddar, can be saved. Just cut the mold area, including 1 & quotin the cheese, wash the knife well with soap and hot water, then cut the cheese again. Use the cheese as soon as possible.

Replace your favorite cheese with any of the cheeses required in these recipes.

One of the wonderful things about cheese is the wide variety of textures, colors and flavors. Take some time to go through the cheese section at your grocery store and try unfamiliar cheeses. You can find a new favorite.

Feta cheese is a type of traditional Greek cheese made from sheep's milk or a mixture of goat's and sheep's milk.

Cheesecake with spiral cheese

From the second package I chose to make the salted cheeses in a spiral shape. Spread a sheet 5 mm thick and sprinkle with grated Parmesan then roll lightly in a long roll. It is cut with a sharp knife, without crushing it, into 1cm thick rounds. Do not roll tightly so the layers will not swell when baked. These slices are also greased with beaten egg and sprinkled with cumin (they already have Parmesan in them).

Easter with cheese and dough!

Today, we will try the Easter recipe with cottage cheese, which looks very interesting, unusual and is very tasty!

For the filling:

& # 8211 300 gr of cottage cheese (preferably drier)

& # 8211 2 tablespoons sugar or to taste.

For the dough:

1. In the bowl of milk, add 1 tablespoon of sugar (of the total amount), yeast and 2-3 tablespoons of flour (of the total amount). Mix with the whisk and let the composition warm for about 20 minutes, until the surface foams.

2. Mix the remaining sugar with egg and egg yolk, vanilla sugar and oil.

3. Add the activated yeast and mix the 2 compositions well.

4. Add salt to the flour bowl, then add the liquid ingredients and mix the dough, first with a spoon, then knead it, gradually adding the soft butter in a few steps. The final dough should be smooth and non-sticky, but not very dense.

5. Shape a ball of dough, place it in a clean bowl greased with a little oil, grease the surface of the dough with a drop of oil, cover it with a lid or food foil and put it in a warm place for about 1-1.5 hours.

Advice. You can place the bowl of dough on top of a saucepan of boiling water so that the base of the bowl does not touch the water.

6. Mix the cottage cheese with the sugar, egg and vanilla sugar.

7. Work the dough a little, divide it into 2 pieces, one bigger and one smaller.

8. Roll out the smaller piece of dough into a round tray the diameter of your baking tin.

9. Grease the base and walls of the mold (22 cm) with butter, then transfer the round worktop to it.

10. Cut the second piece of dough in half and, from both pieces, shape cords about 70-75 cm long.

11. Glue the ends of the 2 strings, then start knitting them. Place the mower around the top of the form.

12. Add the cheese filling in the middle.

13. Divide the second piece of dough in half, shape 2 thin strings, which you also cut in half. Knit 2 strings each so that you get 2 short mowers.

14. Place them on top of the filling, crossing them. We recommend that you hide the ends of the short baskets under the dough around the walls of the form.

15. If necessary, fix the ends of the cross with toothpicks and leave the Easter leaven for 20-35 minutes.

16. Grease the dough and filling with beaten egg and shape in the preheated oven to 180 ° С for 45-50 minutes.

A flavorful dough and a delicious cheese filling! It is worth trying this recipe and beautify the holiday table with an Easter cake and a tasty Easter!
