Genesee Brewing Co. in Rochester, New York created a giant, 23-foot Christmas tree out of beer kegs
Instead of kissing under the mistletoe… people might be doing keg stands under the beer tree.
Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer, had a little much to drink (and all the elves, too). Genesee Brewing Co. The keg tree is displayed outside the Genesee Brewhouse in downtown Rochester.
"It's been great fun," said Michael Gaesser, Genesee's director of packaging innovation, told the Democrat and Chronicle. "As soon as you turn it on, people start taking pictures. Everyone thinks it's cool and the whole company rallied around it.''
All jokes aside, unfortunately, the unorthodox display of kegs does not actually contain any beer. Once the Christmas season is over, they will return to the assembly line to be filled up with craft beer and sent to all the good (grownup) boys and girls. The official lighting ceremony of the beer tree will take place on December 18. We certainly hope your Christmas spirit is on tap in time for the occasion.
