Fragile biscuits with orange, walnut and rum

With this new and delicious recipe we start the sweets for the table Christmas. It smells in the house dementia of butter, oranges, walnuts and rum...spices specific to this holiday. A special recipe, only good to prepare for Santa ☺⛄.

Ingredients for about 20 pieces:

• 200 g butter, at room temperature

• grated peel from 1 orange

• 350 g flour mixed with 1 teaspoon baking powder and a pinch of salt

Method of preparation:

1. In the bowl of the mixer, beat the soft butter together with the sugar, until it becomes foam and no more sugar crystals can be seen.

2. Add the yolk, grated orange peel, rum, walnuts and milk. Mix the composition until it becomes homogeneous.

3. Sift the flour over the butter mixture. Even if the dough will be a little sticky, as we knead (no more than 10-12 minutes), we will get a compact dough. Wrap in plastic wrap and let cool for about 1 hour.

4. Turn the oven to 180 degrees and line a tray with baking paper.

5. Remove the dough and spread it between two baking sheets. We cut with the help of a shape, you can cut with any shape you have / like. Bake the biscuits for 10-13 minutes at 180 degrees and let them cool because they are very fragile and will break.


Cooking recipes for you

Ingredient:

I baked them at the right heat, not too much so as not to change their color. Then I thought of making them look like some real Christmas trees, I colored the dough green and decorated them with some sugar beads, as globules, after which I put them in the oven.

BISCUITS FIR

INGREDIENT:

120 g of sugar
1 egg yolk + 1 egg mic
1 packet of vanilla sugar
1/2 pack baking powder
250 g flour
1 pinch of salt
30 g coconut
40 g white chocolate
1 tablespoon milk
powdered sugar for decoration

Mix coconut with flour, baking powder and butter cut into small cubes.

Add the egg yolk with an egg, the two types of sugar and a pinch of salt, mixing well after each ingredient. Form a ball of dough, cover it and let it cool for an hour.

After this interval we cover the work table with a food foil, we put the dough on it, over it another foil and we spread until we obtain a 3 mm thick dough. We cut stars of different sizes (in my shapes there are 5 small-medium pieces) in sets. We take care to put whole sets in the tray lined with baking paper to make it easier for us to group the fir trees.

Bake the biscuits in the preheated oven at 180 ° C for about 12 minutes (make sure they are a little golden on the bottom and edges. Remove them and let them cool on the grill.

Melt the milk chocolate in the microwave for 30 seconds, mix well and let it cool a bit. We put a little chocolate on the bottom of the biscuits that build the Christmas tree, and on top we can use sugar decorations or colored candies (and they will be glued with white chocolate). Powder with powdered sugar and serve.

As soon as I finished taking the pictures, they disappeared! The only one who didn't catch anything was the puppy who barked angrily at the children while he was circling them, hoping to receive a piece of the sweets that made them so happy.


The soft butter (left at room temperature for 1-2 hours) mixes very well, using a whisk or mixer with powdered sugar, salt and vanilla until we obtain a homogeneous and frothy composition.

Add the whole egg and the yolk and mix until well incorporated. Then add the flour without mixing it, use a spoon or a spatula. You can mix the dough by hand, without kneading excessively because the dough will soften too much and the forks will not they will be more tender, but gummy.

Cover the bowl with cling film and let it cool for an hour.

After the time has elapsed, we take pieces of dough about the size of a walnut and form balls that we place, spaced apart, on a tray covered with baking paper.

I weighed them, made the balls of 25 g / one and I found 38 pieces.

I cut the candied cherries in half and put them on top of the balls and pressed gently until they penetrated the dough.

Bake the cookies for 25 minutes at 170 ° C, until they start to brown slightly. Let them cool completely and then enjoy them with pleasure. Enjoy!

  • Candied cherries can be replaced with pieces of shit or other dried fruit (hydrated in cold water).
  • Or, make a hole with your finger and fill it with jam fruit, plum jam or other hearty jam.

300g biscuits
1/2 pack of Unirea margarine
1 tablespoon cocoa
ground walnut
coconut
vanilla, rum, lemon essences
1/2 milk
Method of preparation
The biscuits are passed through the machine, the margarine is melted and all the ingredients are mixed in a bowl, the milk is gradually poured until the composition is homogenized, at the end the cocoa is added. Then balls are made and given through coconut. Leave in the fridge.
